Dallas "The Film Guy"

Hello. I'm Dallas.  Bill calls me "The film guy".  

I first met the Uncovering America crew a week or two before the journey began.  I heard about Bill through an email he sent to his family and friends that was forwarded to me.     In it he talked about his idea to uncover all the good in America.  He aimed to inspire us to be proud of the land and her people, our heritage and history, the American sense of community and our kind and generous hearts.   It sounded like a fantastic adventure to join.

I drove out of Manhattan, NY in my pickup truck in March of 2007 looking for things to film in order to give a go at making my first documentary.  I kept in touch with Bill while I drove across the U.S. on my way to San Francisco.   Soon, I was at their home in Lebanon, Oregon ready to hit the road. 

I have been living in my truck ever since traveling with them, documenting life on the road, the random adventures and having a few of my own on and off the trail.  To help let my family know where I was and what I was doing, I decided to make a little video blog of my own.   I call it I Live In My Truck dot com.   It's a little bit silly and sometimes boring, but feel free to check it out.
