A 3 Minute Clip

Hello, This is Dallas, the freelance "film guy".   Bill was always asking for a 3 minute clip to air on CNN or somewhere to show America the good.   Here's a clip from some of the 80+ hours of digital video I captured of his effort on this mission.  It has some audio problems, but serves as a quick taste.   My goal is to craft the footage into a feature documentary film or short TV series.   It's a great story and I look forward to sharing more as I review tapes.

"Horsing around" America

That should be a wonderful expewrience. Thirteen years ago my high school friend, Chaz Rauch, (44 years old at the time) finished a 3 year ride across America. He rode during the summers for three years starting in Rhode Island ending on the beach in Oregon. He did it because he wanted to. He is now a wilderness guide near Park City, Utah. He still has the horse he rode then. I am hoping to ride from Yosemite Valley to Fremont CA in the summer of 2010.

I saw your story on Fox News Network. What a fantastic idea. I am filled with envy. I was trying to find a map of the route of your entire journey on this website, but couldn't, and also wondered if you are going back the same way. Also wondered if you could offer some suggestions for others who might be interested in a similar journey and what things you might do differently if you had to do them over again. CONGRATULATIONS! And I look forward to a book or video offering stories and insights on the people you met and experiences you had along the way. Sue Reany Toledo, OH
